The Chair for Embedded Systems, Department for Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of Faculty IV at University of Siegen is accepting applications for a PhD student employment for a duration of 3 years.
Job description:
This position will enable a student to complete his/her doctoral degree.
We expect:
-Definition of system architecture and design of runtime platform for energy-efficient reliable embedded systems
-Modelling, optimization and evaluation of adaptive time-triggered communication
-Realization of an adaptive network interface with real-time support
-Participation in modelling and implementation of case studies
-Documentation and presentation of results including project reports
-Contribution to teaching in study programs mechatronics and computer science
-Completion of PhD
Your profile:
-Master's degree or a Diploma in computer science or electrical engineering
-Experience in the area of distributed embedded real-time systems
-Experience with FPGAs
-Programming skills in C, C++
-Knowledge in networks and communication systems
-Very good English language skills
-Knowledge about methods for scheduling and optimization (desired)
