Applications are invited for a Post-doc position in Computer Vision.
This research effort is part of a national project related to ICT tools for smart tourism and social museum. Within the project, University IUAV of Venice is entitled in the development of an innovative system for markerless augmented reality.
The post-doc will work on studying and developing new algorithms for fast and reliable automatic place recognition on mobile devices.
Applicants must have a background in computer vision, machine learning, and pattern recognition. Good programming skills (C/C++ and OpenCV, as well as fundamentals of Java and Android programming) are also required.
A Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Vision or related fields is preferred.
The position will be full time at University IUAV of Venice (located in the historical city of Venice in a very beatiful building).
The salary is about 1.450,00 euro net and tax-free per month. The position is for one year, with the option to renew for another year, given satisfactory performance.
